About Me:

Really, this is all about you, but just so you know who I am here’s a bit about me.

 

I’m Karen, and I’m qualified in various areas that led me to where I am now – having a genuine passion helping people achieve their goals and seeing them truly happy. Since 2004 I’ve been helping people who feel stuck trying to get permanently slim – stop being stuck and get the body, health & happiness they truly deserve.

 

I’m a qualified hypnotherapist, nutritionist, a Reiki Master, spiritual healer and a teacher (Yes, I know it looks like I didn’t quite know what I wanted to be when I grew up, but I’m so glad I took this path!). My academic background is in science – mainly biology & physics. I taught in secondary schools in the UK for many years.

 

I use all of my skills & personal experience to help people overcome those barriers we all know (and hate!) that get in the way of permanent weight loss success. Losing weight permanently isn’t achieved by dieting or exercising like mad – you know that already, so I’m sure you often ask yourself what is the solution? This is what I do; I give people like you the solution to finally escape that repeating cycle, do something totally different and succeed.

 

Many years ago, I was stuck in an endless cycle of dieting where I’d lose weight and feel great, then put it all back on again – plus a bit more. This went on for about 12 years. I tried healthy diets, exercise, crazy diets, slimming pills & shakes, half starving myself etc. None of this worked for long if at all.

 

During this time, I started getting what I now know were panic attacks – I’d feel dizzy, weak, my heart pounded & I felt like I couldn’t breathe. This is how I became interested in how the mind can & does affect the body & limit us in what we can achieve – unless we know how to change that.

 

I won’t bore you with all the ins & outs of it, but I learnt that I was unwittingly causing my misery myself. Then I discovered how to put that right! Using what I learnt I lost the excess weight with far less effort than ever before – and it was permanent! The panic attacks also stopped, and I had my life back. People often unintentionally sabotage their own efforts somehow and don’t do the things they know they need to do to lose the weight making them feel annoyed & frustrated with themselves when really, it’s not their fault!

 

They get caught in this trap and endless cycle of dieting and putting the weight back on again and say things like “I know what to do to lose weight so why can’t I just make myself do it?” or “I tell myself every night that from tomorrow I won’t over eat, I’ll be ‘good’ ,eat better and do more exercise.” They just need to be shown where they’re going wrong and how to fix it, which is where I come in. I use my tried and tested methods to give people their freedom back and to finally get their ‘Aha moment’ where everything gets turned around almost in an instant.

 

It’s an amazing feeling to just know that you will succeed, and then to see the evidence every day that you ARE succeeding, and the weight is coming off without the struggle you used to have. The successful method I developed that enabled me and many other people to get rid of the frustrating roadblocks & just have a clear path to getting the weight off & keeping it off, involves no rigid dieting or exercise plans, no pills or potions.
